 My Partner Malina and I made a product called “Life Catcher” that I hope next time when someone else went to swim they can save themselves.

We choose Orange as the background because Orange is the contrast color with the ocean color--- Blue. Orange is the best sign when people swim in the ocean. If any problem happened, people can easily see the orange color than save the person who got troubles.

Product Logo Design

 This is the logo which my partner Malina and I decided. Vita Arco is the Latin of Life Protection.
The blue shape is a blue wave. The logo means protect people from the large waves.

Analytical Drawing

This is the analytical drawing I drew. I designed two parts for my product--- the head part and the floaty part. The head part is a transparent plastic triangle. People can use it to breath and see clearly in the ocean. It can also separate the wave suddenly. The floaty part is for help people float on the ocean. The pockets on the floaty is for putting some important things and there is a small GPS in it for keep in touch with other. And I also design a pocket to put the SOS sign that people can use the SOS sign to get attention.  The ropes to connects two part also have a very important function. There is a hook on the rope. People can catch something with it when they meet flood or tsunami in the city.

I really like fashion design and these are some garment concept drawings I drew for my garment.

 

Project Prototype

The "Swim Ring" is very helpful when people get some troubles in the ocean. The swim ring part can let people float on the ocean. the rope is very useful because there is a hook there. If there is the flood and tsunami, people can catch something with the hook. There are two pocket there, there is the SOS sign paper in there. The sign is very long so people can see it clearly. And the paper is very easy to tear so people will not twine by it.

 The head part is for people breath easily in the ocean. I choose the triangle shape for the head part because it can separate the waves quickly. There is a small window there to let people breath when the wave is not that big



My partner Malina and I made the prototype of our product--- "Life Catcher".  We decided this is for the people who met tsunami or in the flood and get trouble. There are a lot of functions. I made the prototype of it with plastic and some newsprint paper and drawing paper.

Artist Statements

             My main idea is DISAPPEAR. I want to commemorate my friend who was died in the ocean last month. My friend disappeared in 17 years old, she made me think about how valuable life is and how small when people met the natural power. I realize that I should cherish my life and do whatever I want.

               My work is always combining black color and cold color because I like the feeling of darkness. I want to show my style and have more different idea so I always research for some other people’s work or the main words of my project and combine with my idea to draw. I love to use watercolor and mix many cold color with a few warm color or many warm color with a few cold color. I love to play with color. I think it is fun.

              I really like Fashion Design that I hope I can mix some of my favorite style then create my own special clothes.
